Mass Events to Be Held in Yerevan in 2024, Some of Which Will Take Place for the First Time

In 2024, a series of mass, international, and municipal events will take place in Yerevan, several of which will be held for the first time. This was announced during a working meeting by the city administration.

A total of 15 international competitions will be conducted, 5 of which will be in team sports. These will take place for the first time under the auspices of the "Mayor of Yerevan's Cup". The sports include basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, and handball.

Participants will also compete in wrestling, freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, gymnastics, chess, and marathon running.

A Yerevan championship will also be organized, encompassing 13 sports. For the first time, a chess tournament dedicated to Grandmaster Rafael Vahanyan and the Yerevan Marathon, which will involve more than a thousand participants, will be held.

In June, international boxing and wrestling championships will occur in Yerevan, serving as the final test for national teams before the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris.

Additionally, a Spartakiad for individuals with disabilities will take place in 2024, along with competitions for the elderly.
