At Least 89 People Have Died Due to Severe Winter Weather in the U.S.

At least 89 people have died over the course of a week due to winter weather across large portions of the United States, according to CBS News.

In Tennessee, 25 people have lost their lives, while in Oregon, at least 16 individuals have died, including three who were in a vehicle struck by a falling tree.

Weather-related fatalities have also been reported this week in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Washington, Kentucky, Wisconsin, New York, and New Jersey.

Cold temperatures, strong winds, heavy snowfall, and ice have affected regions in the U.S. where tens of millions of people reside.
