What the leader of the neighboring country is doing is reflective, replicating what the Armenian side has done over the years.

This was stated by the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, during a brief conversation with journalists, addressing the territorial claims of Aliyev.

“After all, we have always said that these are our historical territories, etc. Aliyev speaks about one thing to create a counterweight to the narratives we have built over the past 30 years,” said the Speaker of the National Assembly.

In response to a question about Aliyev's claim that "Yerevan is Azerbaijan," Simonyan replied, “We have also stated that Nakhichevan is Armenia; we have said that Karabakh is Armenia. We have mentioned that we will have tea in Baku, and they have talked about enjoying tea in Sevan. Azerbaijan is doing everything in a reflective manner.”

It should be noted that in his latest interview, the President of Azerbaijan again made territorial demands on Armenia, claiming that Yerevan and Jermuk are their historical territories.
