The world may face a new mysterious outbreak referred to as 'Disease X,' which could result in 20 times more deaths than COVID-19, according to foreign media reports.

The World Economic Forum in Davos has included discussions on the potential new mysterious epidemic in its agenda.

'Disease X' is a theoretical name for an unknown pathogen that could cause a pandemic. It was adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO) in February 2018 as part of a list of pathogens and diseases that require urgent research and development of vaccines or treatments.

This designation by the WHO is intended to optimize planning and flexibility, allowing for rapid adaptation to new and unknown pathogens through swift development of vaccines or treatment methods.
