VIDEO: Number of Traffic Accidents Due to Crossing at Wrong Places in One Year

Rushing to reach your destination a few seconds earlier is not worth the risk of crossing the road in unauthorized areas, endangering your life and causing inconvenience to other road users. This is stated in a message released by the Police.

According to statistics, in the past year, 1,193 traffic accidents were recorded due to pedestrians crossing at unapproved locations. Among those injured in these incidents, 108 people died, while 1,158 others were injured. Additionally, from January 8 to 10 of this year, during a three-day period of intensified enforcement activities, police recorded 2,194 violations of pedestrians crossing at non-designated places.
