VIDEO: Russia Strikes Kharkiv, Over a Dozen Injured Including Citizens of Turkey and Georgia
Russia launched a strike on a hotel in central Kharkiv on the evening of January 10. The latest reports indicate that 13 people were injured. Nearby buildings sustained damage, and vehicles were set ablaze. This information was announced by regional authorities.
The strike was carried out on the Kyiv district of Kharkiv from Belgorod using S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. At the time, over 30 individuals were present in the hotel, including 23 guests and staff members.
“The hotel has been damaged. One of the missiles hit the ground near the building's facade, while the second struck the roof, leading to a partial collapse of the rear side of the hotel. Twelve people were injured. Currently, there are two individuals in medical facilities: a 35-year-old man in serious condition and a 71-year-old woman in moderate condition,” said Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv regional administration.
Later, the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office clarified that 13 people were injured, including a citizen of Turkey and a citizen of Georgia, who were working for Turkish media outlets. Ten individuals are hospitalized, and three received on-site medical assistance. Oleg Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, emphasized that there were no military personnel present in the hotel. Additionally, two residential buildings, a garage, and a manufacturing enterprise were also damaged.
