Video: Children Support Protesting Farmers in Germany

Julya

Farmers have been protesting for the third day near the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin due to government plans to reduce subsidies. In a show of solidarity, residents of the German capital have been bringing food to support them. This information comes from RIA Novosti.

The street next to Brandenburg Gate has seen traffic restrictions since the protest began. Initially, around six hundred farmers formed a large chain with tractors and other agricultural vehicles. Over 50 farmers continue to participate in the protest.

Concerned local residents have been regularly driving up to the protesters to deliver food, as they have spent two nights in zero-degree temperatures. Even children have joined in to support the protesting farmers, and footage has been released showing this solidarity.

Berliners have frequently demonstrated their support for the farmers in recent days, who plan to remain on the streets until January 15, when the largest protest will take place, marking the end of a seven-day strike. The location of the tractors and vehicles has been coordinated with the city police.
