Armenia Contributes More Customs Duties to EAEU Common Pool in 2023 Than It Received, Says SRC Head

The Republic of Armenia has sent about 50 percent more customs duties to the common pool of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was stated by Rustam Badanyan, the head of Armenia's State Revenue Committee, during a briefing with government officials.

"Armenia has sent more customs duties to the common pool than it has received. We received about 73 billion drams but sent about 140 billion drams," said Badanyan.

In response to a question from journalists about whether it is beneficial to send a lot of money while receiving little, the SRC head emphasized that there are numerous factors; however, Armenia has always received more and sent less.

It is worth noting that the agreement on Armenia's accession to the EAEU was signed on October 10, 2014, and came into effect on January 2, 2015.
