Russian Defense Ministry Reports Destruction of 12 Missiles in Belgorod Region
The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported the destruction of six missiles from the Tochka-U tactical missile system and six missiles from the Olkha multiple launch rocket system in the skies over the Belgorod region.
Earlier, the governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported on the activation of air defense systems and the shelling of the village of Soloti in the Valuisky urban district. According to a report in Kommersant, the ministry did not specify the exact time of the attacks on the Belgorod region.
At 06:10 Moscow time, Gladkov announced the destruction of several aerial targets approaching Belgorod. At 06:23, he reported on the shelling of Soloti, stating that two private houses were damaged, windows were shattered, roofs were cracked, and an electricity line was damaged.
At 06:47, Gladkov announced a missile alert and urged residents not to approach their windows and to go to shelters.
It should be noted that on January 2, Belgorod was also subjected to four missile attacks, resulting in one death and 11 injuries, according to the governor. As of today, January 3, Gladkov has reported that three of the injured are still receiving treatment in hospitals, while eight have been discharged.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the center of Belgorod was shelled on December 30, leading to 25 fatalities, including five children, and injuring 108 residents.
