Yet Another 200 Buses to Be Imported, Validators to Be Installed in Trolleys: Avinyan

The Yerevan City Hall plans to import an additional 200 buses in 2024 as part of a comprehensive transportation reform program. This announcement was made today during a press conference by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan.

According to him, the imported batch of buses will complement the ongoing reform. “In parallel, additional bus routes will be introduced, and a unified ticketing system will be fully implemented,” said Avinyan.

Avinyan also addressed the installation of validators on buses. He noted that validators have been installed in 662 buses and at 10 metro stations. He stated that the installation of validators in trolleys is currently underway.

“In the coming months, the fare gates of the metro will be replaced with new ones. New ticketing products will be launched, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tickets,” the Mayor of Yerevan added.
