Yes, it is possible to install cameras in kindergartens: Avinyan

Next year, first and foremost, the salaries of kindergarten staff will be revised. This was stated today by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a summary press conference.

“We will also encourage the staff to be certified at some point. This is in the discussion phase with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. Yes, the issue of installing cameras in kindergartens is being discussed, and it is possible that this will be implemented. We are also studying the experiences of successful private kindergartens and have things to learn from them. From a methodological perspective, yes, some things will change,” said Avinyan.

The Mayor of Yerevan also noted that the measures implemented in kindergartens were primarily preventive. In Avinyan's opinion, children in kindergartens do not need any other type of treatment besides love and care. “As it is said, strict education, shouting, and teaching methods from Mr. Todik are not necessary,” said Avinyan. Tigran Avinyan emphasized that in kindergartens, not only the physical conditions are important but also the content provided by the educators.
