What the Grandson of MP Gagik Melkonyan from the CP Said During Interrogation: Details from "Hraparak"

According to "Hraparak" reports, the grandson of CP MP Gagik Melkonyan, who has come under scrutiny, was interrogated by the Investigative Committee.

Melkonyan's grandson had been wanted for some time on suspicion of stabbing a student from the "Yerevan Institute of Law and Management." The prosecuting body located him and summoned him for questioning. According to a source from the media outlet, the grandson claimed that he had no connection to the stabbing of the student, stating that no such incident had occurred at the college.

Gor Abrahamyan, a spokesperson for the RA Investigative Committee, told "Hraparak" that the preliminary investigation is ongoing and that no individuals are currently subject to criminal prosecution.

Further details regarding those involved in the questioning and investigative procedures were not disclosed. Previously, it was reported that a stabbing incident involving MP Gagik Melkonyan's grandson, Gagik Karen Melkonyan, had taken place at the "Yerevan Institute of Law and Management." On the day of the incident, the injured student was transported to the St. Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center with bodily injuries.

During the interrogation, the injured student reportedly told law enforcement that he fell from a tree. However, arriving police officers determined that the injury was inflicted by student Gagik Karen Melkonyan, the grandson of MP Gagik Melkonyan. According to that source, Melkonyan's grandson stabbed another student from the same university.
