How Many People Came or Left Armenia in the First 11 Months of 2023

As of November 2023, a total of 5 million 44 thousand people have entered or exited Armenia. This information was shared during a meeting with reporters by Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia.

“Of that number, 34 percent were transported by Armenian airlines, which is an exceptional figure,” he noted. Last year, the percentage stood at 24 percent.

Sanosyan added that this year the Syunik Airport was also launched and there were instances where flights were not carried out due to weather conditions. “We, along with our partners from the Ministry of Environment, each in our own capacity, need to install navigation and hydro-meteorological devices. They are in the purchase process, and in 2024 we will implement this, reducing our dependency on weather conditions,” said the minister.
