Video: Strong Winds in Sochi Knock Trees onto Roofs and Cars, One Fatality Reported

Severe weather conditions continue in Sochi, Russia, as strong winds have uprooted trees and torn roofs off of high-rise buildings. This was reported by Readovka.

In the evening, the elements struck the Sochi resort area once again. The winds have scattered the uprooted objects across the city.

The debris has hit various infrastructure, falling onto roads and bus stops, damaging vehicles. Reports indicate that a tree on Petrozavodskaya Street fell onto the roof of a five-story building, causing damage.

Several media outlets have reported one fatality; a tree fell on a person. It is noted that several areas have been left without electricity, and dozens of cars remain trapped under uprooted and broken trees.

The city administration has stated that all services are operating in an enhanced mode, and the situation is being monitored by the city's operational headquarters.
