In France, 700 people were poisoned after a corporate party held by Airbus, according to The Guardian. "The Christmas dinner intended for 2,600 employees has become the cause of illness for hundreds of workers," the article states.
The corporate event took place on December 14 at the Airbus Atlantic factory's restaurant in Montmorin-de-Bretagne, in western France. The menu featured dishes including foie gras, shrimp, lobster, and tournedos, followed by a dessert of ice cream logs and a hazelnut and chocolate mousse.
Health authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the massive outbreak of gastroenteritis.
