VIDEO: No One in the Room, Yet the Light is On, Careless - Sukiasyan on Electricity Conservation
Khachatur Sukiasyan, a member of the "Civil Contract" faction, expressed his concerns regarding electricity conservation during a meeting of the permanent commission on regional and Eurasian integration. He remarked, "For instance, there is a kind of epidemic in Armenia where there is no one in the room, yet the light is on. There is a lack of awareness about needing to turn it off upon leaving, resulting in unnecessary electricity consumption."
Afterward, Sukiasyan questioned the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Hakob Vardanyan, about whether there were any calculations available regarding how much electricity is wasted in such situations. Vardanyan responded that they do not have any calculations. The government representative stressed the importance of transitioning to an energy-efficient system, even in street lighting.
