Upper Lars is Again Closed for Freight Transport

The road leading to the Upper Lars checkpoint is once again closed in both directions for freight transport. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by Vahan Hakobyan, the customs attaché of the Armenian Embassy in the Russian Federation.

“Due to snow and black ice on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the international Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway, the Khashi mountain pass is closed in both directions for freight transport,” he said.

The road remains open for light passenger vehicles.
