Argentinian President Bans Protests in the Country
Argentinian President Javier Milei has banned protests in the country. He also announced the establishment of a new national registry that will include all protesters and organizations participating in demonstrations. Interestingly, this registry will also encompass drivers who support protesters with horns.
The opposition considers the new measures unconstitutional and is highly dissatisfied with the actions of National Security Minister Patricia Bullrich, who implemented President Milei's initiative.
The Argentinian government insists that this is not a complete ban on rallies and protests but rather a new federal protocol for their conduct. Allegedly, the main aim is to relocate protests off the roads to avoid obstructing traffic flow.
