Why Children and Teachers Were Evacuated from School: The Principal Explains

Police quickly determined that one of the children had filled a gas cylinder with "pertsovka" between the 2nd and 3rd floors. This was stated by the principal of the Mussaler F. Werfel Secondary School, Naira Svaryan, in an interview with 24News, addressing the misinformation that students and teachers in the 7th grade of her school had suddenly started coughing.

“We are now at the police station, and the child has confessed to his actions. No one was poisoned; I was just scared by the mass outbreak of coughing and quickly called for an ambulance,” the principal detailed.

When asked if the student had revealed why he did such a thing, Svaryan noted, “We are here to understand why he committed this act.”

The school principal also mentioned that the condition of those hospitalized is already improving: “There were 6 individuals; 3 have already been discharged, and the others will follow soon.”

It should be noted that today, on December 15, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Armavir region. Over 15 children were evacuated from the F. Werfel Secondary School in the Mussaler administrative area, with some being transported to the Vagharshapat medical center, others to the Mussaler medical outpatient center, and some to various medical facilities in Yerevan.
