Strength of Alliance with Armenia Put to the Test, Lavrov Says
The alliance between Moscow and Yerevan is currently being tested, as the West seeks to sow discord between fraternal peoples. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Lavrov's message was read by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin at the first public forum "Russia-Armenia" held in Moscow today.
"This initiative is valuable as it aims to create conditions for the search of a unifying agenda and contribute to the emergence of new figures shaping public opinion in Armenia and Russia," the minister noted.
Lavrov expressed confidence that practical proposals would be developed as a result of the discussions and useful connections would be established.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that the West's plans in Ukraine have failed, and it has viciously targeted Armenia in an attempt to sever it from Russia.
