New Details on Ukrainian MP's Grenade Explosion

In the rural council of Andarkharpatyan, Sergey Batryn, a member of Ukraine's 'Servant of the People' party, detonated grenades during a meeting regarding the distribution of funds among council members. The grenades were brought to the session following a heated argument.

It is reported that at the time of the grenade launch, discussions were underway about increasing the council leader's salary to 45,000 hryvnias, 36,000 of which would go 'into the scheme'. Attendees also raised the issue of illegal logging through 'grey' schemes, highlighting that almost no one remained in the Keretskov community, while according to documents, no one is engaged in logging.

The announced topic of the meeting was the 2024 budget. The deputies intended to approve it; however, Batryn had a furious dispute with them, demanding they first report on the expenditures of the 2023 budget. After arguing with his colleagues, he left the room but returned a few minutes later and detonated three grenades.

Earlier, it was reported that a deputy in Ukraine had exploded a grenade during a session.
