Lukashenko: Pashinyan is Not to Blame, He Has 'Inherited' the Current Situation

The disintegration of the post-Soviet space is a primary goal of NATO and its allies. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting of the heads of security agencies and intelligence services of the CIS member states.

According to him, there are quite a few contradictions in the post-Soviet space today, so there must be power to correct the mistakes and resolve old issues, as reported by the site tvr.by.

“Yes, we have made mistakes in some places. Yes, in some cases it did not work out — in Armenia, in Azerbaijan. Let's correct this,” Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian president emphasized that the escalation of this conflict wouldn't have occurred if the parties had listened to the advice in a timely manner and taken necessary measures. He highlighted that the current Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, is not to blame for what has happened; according to Lukashenko, Pashinyan has 'inherited' the situation.

Lukashenko reminded that he had previously called on the countries to resolve everything through peaceful means, and specific mutually acceptable measures had been discussed. However, the initial agreements were never implemented, and now it is not easy for either Armenia or Azerbaijan, he continued.
