Gor Aghekian, Detained in Case of 15 Fallen Soldiers, Will Remain in Custody
Gor Aghekian, the defendant held in the case concerning the 15 soldiers who lost their lives at the military base in Azat village, will continue to remain in custody. Prior to the court's ruling, the prosecuting attorney stated that the defendant should remain in detention as the charges are substantiated. He mentioned that following the incident, the soldier had placed cartridge cases at the scene.
In response to the prosecutor's statement, Aghekian remarked, “The cartridge cases were not brought to my attention after the incident.” The defendant also named Colonel Argam Gevorgian.
Another detained defendant in the case, Marlen Sargsyan, declared that he possesses information he will share with the representative of the victims, lawyer Norair Norikian. The defendant noted that there are pieces of information he will not disclose at this time. “I am ready to confront anyone,” he stated.
Addressing the charges, the defendant added, “There is no order number 900; the order is fake. Those sections were removed from the documents; they know that well.”
