‘Do not betray the people and their faith in Europe’: Zelensky addresses the EU
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed participants of the EU leaders' summit in Brussels via video conference.
“I ask you today for one thing: do not betray the people and their faith in Europe,” Zelensky stated.
Zelensky also declared that if Europe does not begin negotiations with Ukraine regarding membership, it would signify a victory for Vladimir Putin, who initiated the war.
“Today is the day when the decision will be made, either in Brussels or in Moscow,” the Ukrainian President said.
