We Are Not Breaking Diplomatic Relations: Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated during the "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" program that Moscow does not intend to sever diplomatic relations with Berlin. A segment of the interview was published on journalist Pavel Zarubin's Telegram channel.
“We are not breaking diplomatic relations, and today, President Vladimir Putin will accept the credentials of Germany's Ambassador to Russia, Alexander Lambsdorff, but we will tell them the truth,” Lavrov said.
Previously, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had accused Russia and its President Vladimir Putin of halting gas supplies. He noted that fuel prices have increased tenfold, while Europe has seen a reduction of 120 billion cubic meters.
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev accused the Chancellor of lying. The Ministry of Energy had previously announced that supplies to Europe continue through Ukraine and other countries, as well as via the Turkish Flow.
