Russian Authorities Believe Blogger's Response Corresponds to Her Actions in Armenia

Sergey Tsekhov, a member of the Council on International Relations of the Russian Federation, told NEWS.ru that the "activists" who attacked blogger Yulia Fines in Yerevan should face appropriate punishment. At the same time, he added that the girl herself is a provocateur and received the response she deserved for her actions in Armenia.

"There should be appropriate punishments for such acts both in Armenia and in Russia. A substantial solution is needed for this issue, and perhaps the penalties for such actions should be tightened. However, in my opinion, this girl is a provocateur. Even without extensive investigations, this can be established. Her response corresponds to her long-standing actions in Armenia," Tsekhov stated.

The girl gained notoriety in the Telegram channel with her scandalous posts, where she shares details of drug addiction and provocatively creates conflicts with people. Fines also attempted to undergo treatment at a rehabilitation center before moving to Yerevan.

According to psychiatrist Vasily Shurov, Russian blogger Yulia Fines suffers from addiction. He noted that her case had previously been opened, as she once ran with a knife in the subway and injured police officers. "She had few options: go to prison or undergo compulsory treatment. She turned to me. While the trials were ongoing, she was indeed undergoing a rehabilitation program. Then, the judge refused to leave her in the rehabilitation center and sent her for compulsory treatment. Yulia changed drastically, demanded to be discharged, and rushed to Crimea, where she filmed videos about drugs and posted them. After that, she went to Armenia, where she insulted both (Chechen leader Ramzan) Kadyrov and everyone," Shurov said.

The doctor referred to Fines as a drug blogger, stating that she films "various trash." He emphasized that the girl sees nothing reprehensible in her activities.
