VIDEO: Intestinal bacteria found in Caesar salad and pork shawarma; operations of Karas-related food establishment suspended

Inspections by the Rapid Response Division of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia have been conducted at a public food establishment owned by Karas Group LLC (located at 34 Arshakunyats St.).

This information was reported by the Food Safety Inspection Body (FSIB).

Samples of food items available at the public food establishment were taken and sent for laboratory examination. As a result, the following violations were identified:

  • Caesar salad product: Enterobacteriaceae (intestinal bacteria group), E. coli
  • Pork shawarma product: Enterobacteriaceae, E. coli (intestinal bacteria)
  • Chicken shawarma product: Mesophilic aerobes and facultative anaerobes, Enterobacteriaceae, E. coli, pathogenic, Salmonella
  • Tomato sauce product: Enterobacteriaceae
  • Cheese sauce product: Mesophilic aerobes, Enterobacteriaceae
  • ketchup product: Mesophilic aerobes
  • Yogurt product: Enterobacteriaceae
  • Bakery products did not meet the standards and requirements established by legal acts.

The operation of the public food establishment owned by Karas Group LLC has been suspended until the identified violations are rectified.
