The Suspension of Cooperation with Baku Contradicts Peace and Security in the Region: Miller
The suspension of cooperation with Baku contradicts Washington's interests and peace in the region. This was stated by Matthew Miller, the official spokesperson of the U.S. State Department, during a press briefing.
According to Miller, U.S. authorities have never indicated they are unwilling to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan. “We believe that a complete suspension of our diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan contradicts the interests of peace and security in the region. We continue to work directly with both Azerbaijan and Armenia to clarify, for example, our concerns regarding Azerbaijan,” Miller emphasized.
The official spokesperson noted that they continue to collaborate with the official Baku, urging them to strive for stable peace with official Yerevan.
