Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, has labeled the words of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg regarding the alliance's aim to avoid confrontation with Russia as hypocrisy. The information was reported by TASS.

“Everything that NATO members talk about, including Secretary General Stoltenberg, claiming that their main task is to prevent a direct confrontation with the Russian Federation, is all hypocrisy. This is a game of glass beads to distract attention. I believe NATO member regimes, as states, say this to somewhat whitewash themselves in front of their voters, claiming that they have nothing to do with it, are not participants, and that they are simply helping the Kyiv regime,” the diplomat stated during a press briefing.
