German Defense Minister Refuses to Consider Ukraine an Ally

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has refused to classify Ukraine as an ally in an interview with ZDF television. He emphasized that Germany is not in a position that obligates it to intervene in the conflict within the framework of any alliance.

This statement by the politician comes in response to claims regarding allegedly insufficient military assistance to Kyiv. He reminded that Germany ranks second in terms of support, well ahead of many other allies.
