Israel's Ministry of Defense to Allow Humanitarian Aid Passage to Gaza
Israel will continue to allow humanitarian aid to be sent to the Gaza Strip, including fuel, in the amounts that were supplied prior to the ceasefire.
According to a representative of the COGAT division of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, this was reported by RIA Novosti. “We continue to allow the passage of humanitarian aid according to the established mechanism. We will maintain the level that existed before the ceasefire, including the amount of fuel. We are not reducing the humanitarian assistance needed by the residents of the Gaza Strip,” said Lt. Col. Yotam Shefer, head of the COGAT external relations department, to the agency.
He added that a team of COGAT experts is in the Gaza Strip conducting regular assessments of the humanitarian situation in accordance with the needs of the residents.
