Hezbollah Will Destroy Lebanon If It Enters War with Israel, Netanyahu Says

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again warned the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah not to enter into war. “If Hezbollah makes a grave mistake and enters into a large-scale war, it will bring about the destruction of Lebanon by its own hands,” Netanyahu stated during a press conference.

The Prime Minister confirmed that the IDF is continuously operating against Hezbollah in the north. He also mentioned that the military is actively destroying terrorist squads, pushing them further from the border, and eliminating ammunition. He pledged to continue to restrain Hezbollah during operations in Gaza.

Hezbollah supports Hamas during its conflict with Israel in Gaza. Since the beginning of the conflict, more than 1,000 rockets have been fired toward Israel from Lebanon, according to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant. The Israel Defense Forces are retaliating with strikes.
