Margara Border Checkpoint Ready for Operation, Says Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Margara border checkpoint on the Armenia-Turkey border is ready for operation, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reported in response to a query from Sputnik Armenia.

"The Margara border checkpoint is ready for operation, and the Armenian side expects to receive positive signals from the Turkish side regarding the opening of the border for citizens of third countries and holders of diplomatic passports," the ministry stated.

In mid-November, the head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, Rustam Badasyan, announced that the construction of the new checkpoint was nearing completion.
