What You Need to Know About the State Support Program for Customs Clearance of Temporarily Imported Vehicles

The government has decided that citizens importing light passenger vehicles classified under commodity code 8703 for personal use from countries that are not members of the EAEU can benefit from a state support program for customs clearance.

Who Can Benefit from the Support?
According to the State Revenue Committee, citizens who import light passenger vehicles from third countries for temporary import until December 4, 2023, and clear customs in Armenia between December 5 and December 30, will be eligible for partial reimbursement of the customs duties and taxes paid at a unified rate.

What is the Amount of Reimbursement?
For vehicles manufactured up to 5 years ago, 40% of the payable amount will be reimbursed, meaning the beneficiary pays 60%, and the state covers the remaining 40%. For vehicles older than 5 years, 70% of the payable amount will be reimbursed, meaning the beneficiary pays 30%, and the state covers 70% of the amount.

How to Complete Customs Clearance?
Starting from December 5, 2023, beneficiaries can visit the Northern Customs House located in Shiraz, Gyumri (Address: Gyumri, Khrymyan Hayrik Street, 2/14) for customs procedures. The beneficiary must personally be present at the customs house with an identification document and provide the temporarily imported vehicle, its technical passport, the customs entry orders formed during the temporary importation, and any other relevant documents related to the vehicle, if available.
