Iran to Launch 5 Satellites into Space by Year-End
Iran plans to launch five new satellites into space by the end of the Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2024). This announcement was made by Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Isa Zarepour.
“By the end of the year, five new satellites will be sent into Earth's orbit... Two of the satellites will be launched by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), two by the Ministry of Defense, and one will be a foreign satellite. In total, five satellites will be sent into orbit,” the official's remarks were quoted by the Tasnim agency.
Yesterday, Iran's Space Agency head, Hassan Salarieh, announced that specialists from one of Iran's research centers have prepared a biocapsule for launching into space.
