Disinformation: Ministry of Internal Affairs Responds to Claims of Poor Quality Armenian Passports Printed by Russian Company

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia has issued a statement responding to today’s publication by the newspaper ‘Zhoghovurd’. In the announcement, it was noted:

‘The website of the newspaper ‘Zhoghovurd’ has today addressed issues related to the passport system.

The publication is disinformation, as the obtained passport blanks meet the requirements of the technical specifications, and the templates have passed the necessary examinations.’ Previously, ‘Zhoghovurd’ had reported on ‘notable details’ regarding the chaos prevailing in the Armenian passport system, particularly about who, how, and why the system has been compromised.’
