VIDEO: ‘Who are they that I should relate to them?’ Khachatryan on the opposition
‘I do not relate to them in any way, who are they that I should comment on their actions,’ said Ani Khachatryan, a member of the ‘Republic’ faction, during a conversation with reporters, responding to the fact that the opposition boycotted the city council meeting.
Speaking about the ongoing discussions, Khachatryan noted that there should be non-reporting issues at the city council meetings since the meetings occur once a month with a rather extensive agenda, and it is physically impossible to discuss everything. According to her, non-reporting issues are merely technical matters.
‘In general, “people” — I emphasize that in quotes — express thoughts like “we will boycott, whatever...” They are obliged to be present at the committee meetings, and that faction doesn’t even have registered members,’ Khachatryan stressed.
Addressing the state of public transport in Yerevan, she remarked that transportation in Yerevan is awful. ‘For 3-4 years, I have been shouting at Haik Marutyan that the issue of transport cannot be postponed,’ she said.
