Shia Groups Shell American Military Base in Iraq
Shia groups have announced the shelling of the U.S. military base at Ain al-Asad in Iraq. The information is reported by RIA Novosti.
The "Iraqi Islamic Resistance," which includes armed Shia formations, has stated that they targeted the Ain al-Asad base located in Anbar province in western Iraq. This marks the second shelling of this base within less than a day.
According to the statement from the Iraqi Islamic Resistance, its fighters used appropriate weaponry to shell the Ain al-Asad American occupation base in western Iraq and hit the target.
Earlier, Pentagon press secretary deputy Sabrina Singh announced that U.S. forces and bases in the Middle East have been attacked by shelling 55 times since October 17, resulting in injuries to 59 military personnel.
