Israel Expands Military Operation in Northern Gaza Strip

Israeli military forces have disseminated operational information on Saturday evening, describing how they are "continuing and expanding their operational activities" in parts of the Palestinian enclave. This was reported by the Russian service of the BBC.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that over the past 24 hours, troops have "conducted operations in the Zeitoun and Jabalia regions. During these operations, they encountered terrorists who deliberately operated from civilian areas and attacked the troops using anti-tank missiles and explosives."

IDF officials added that Israeli forces have "killed" several Hamas militants and struck a significant number of terrorist infrastructures.

This information follows reports from the Palestinian side about dozens of casualties in a school in northern Gaza. An IDF representative had previously stated that the reports are being investigated.
