“I spoke with Jalal Harutyunyan this morning; there is a legal issue,” stated Andranik Kocharyan, the head of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security, during a press briefing today.

He emphasized the importance of hearing from the former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Jalal Harutyunyan, and the President of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan. “The investigative commission cannot do anything if those invited do not show up, but the legislative initiative we have prepared will grant future investigative commissions the power to ensure that those invited, regardless of whether they previously held office or not, cannot refuse to appear,” he said.
