Video: Residential Building Collapses in Astrakhan, People Trapped in Rubble

A portion of a residential building has collapsed in Astrakhan, at Privokzalnaya Square, trapping people beneath the rubble. Preliminary information suggests that the building's foundation was compromised due to sewage issues.

Emergency services are currently working at the site, and an operational headquarters has been established.

Rescuers have evacuated 213 residents, including 37 children. It was later reported that one resident, an 84-year-old woman, tragically lost her life as she was unable to descend from the fifth floor when the evacuation was announced.
