The Only Generator of Al-Amal Hospital in Gaza Has Stopped Working

The only electric generator of Al-Amal Hospital in the Gaza Strip has stopped functioning. This was reported by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society on the social network X.

It is noted that the only generator connected to the Red Crescent in Khan Yunis has ceased operations. This poses a threat to the lives of 90 patients receiving treatment, 25 of whom are in the medical rehabilitation department.

Additionally, around 9,000 displaced persons have taken refuge in the hospital premises. Currently, the hospital is using a very small generator that only powers the maternity ward and emergency lighting. It is expected that the available fuel will run out within 24 hours.

According to the announcement, the generator failure affects the operations of both the main office of the Red Crescent and Al-Amal Hospital, which includes the ambulance service in the Gaza Strip.
