Video: Government Meeting Started with One Minute of Silence
The government meeting today began with one minute of silence. Members of the government paid tribute to the victims of the 44-day war.
It is reminded that on September 27, 2020, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale military attack along the entire length of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border. On November 9 of the same year, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev issued a joint statement regarding the cessation of hostilities. Following the adoption of the trilateral statement, Russian peacekeeping forces were deployed along the Line of Contact in Nagorno-Karabakh and the Lachin corridor.
The Russian peacekeepers were deployed for a period of five years, but on September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan launched another attack on the Republic of Artsakh, resulting in the complete depopulation of Artsakh and its surrender to Azerbaijan.
