Lavrov Requests Participation in OSCE Meeting
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has requested permission to attend the meeting of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) set to take place in Skopje. This was reported by the head of North Macedonia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, who noted that his country would not be able to accept the Russian delegation's aircraft.
North Macedonia's airspace, which is not a member of the European Union but has joined in sanctions against Moscow, is closed to Russian aircraft. Lavrov, for his part, expressed hope that North Macedonia would "make it possible" for Russia's participation in the OSCE meeting.
