Nikol Pashinyan on the Newly Established NSS Unit for the 'Peaceful Crossroads' Project

During a government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that the National Security Service (NSS) unit designed to ensure security for the 'Peaceful Crossroads' project has already been established. It has been operational since November 1.

According to the Prime Minister, the function of this unit within the NSS should be to ensure the safety of regional and international communication routes passing through Armenia, including roads, railways, gas pipelines, cables, and power lines, as well as the passage of goods, cargo, vehicles, and people across these infrastructures.

'Recently, we presented our 'Peaceful Crossroads' project, during which I informed that we plan to establish a unit within the NSS, one of whose functions will be to guarantee the safety of regional and international communications passing through Armenia, namely roads, railways, gas pipelines, cables, power lines, and also the movement of goods, cargo, vehicles, and people through these communications. I would like to inform you that this unit has already been established. Of course, we had previously conducted some preparatory work in this direction because it was part of our plans. Today we can already confirm that the unit has been formed, is sufficiently staffed, and has begun its work since yesterday,' said Nikol Pashinyan.

Earlier, we reported that during the Tbilisi 'Silk Road' International Conference, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the establishment of this special NSS unit.
