VIDEO: First Group of Foreigners Allowed to Leave Gaza for Egypt
The first group of foreigners has been permitted to leave Gaza for Egypt, according to reports by РИА Новости, citing Agence France-Presse (AFP).
A spokesperson from Egypt, who remains unnamed, stated, "The first group of foreigners will depart from Gaza to Egypt on Wednesday." Preliminary information indicates that the exit of foreign citizens has been coordinated with Israel, Egypt, and the Palestinian Hamas movement, with active mediation from Qatar.
It has been clarified that severely injured residents of Gaza may also be allowed to leave. Yesterday, Hamas announced that it will negotiate with intermediaries for the release of several foreign hostages.
Previously, Hamas published a list of foreigners who would be allowed to exit the Gaza Strip, which includes citizens from Jordan, Indonesia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Bulgaria, Australia, and Japan. Additionally, representatives of the movement have not opposed the departure of Palestinians with dual citizenship, as well as workers from the International Red Cross (ICRC) and other NGOs.
