Israel Defense Forces Launch Air and Sea Strikes on Hamas Targets in Gaza
The Israeli Navy and Air Force have supported ground forces in conducting air and sea strikes on numerous Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the army's press service.
"The fleet and air forces have supported the Israel Defense Forces' ground units, attacking numerous terrorist targets from the air and sea. These targets include observation posts, anti-tank missile launch sites, and military complexes," the statement reads.
On October 7, Israel faced an unprecedented scale of missile attacks from the Gaza Strip as part of Operation 'Al-Aqsa Flood,' proclaimed by the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement. Following the attacks, militants entered border areas in southern Israel, opening fire on both military personnel and civilians, as well as taking hostages. According to local authorities, over 1,400 people have died in Israel, including 300 military personnel, and more than 5,000 have been injured.
