Fuel Tanker Overturns on Kapan-Goris Road, One Injured

On October 25 at 02:03, the crisis management center of the Syunik regional rescue department received a report that a traffic accident had occurred on the Verin Khotan-Kapan highway, where a tanker had overturned, causing both directions of traffic to be closed.

Two fire-rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a Mercedes-Benz fuel tanker loaded with diesel fuel, driven by S. B. (born in 1970), had overturned on the 22nd kilometer of the Kapan-Goris highway, resulting in a fuel leak. Traffic remained closed in both directions.

Rescue workers extracted the driver from the vehicle and brought him to an ambulance; the injured individual has been hospitalized. The rescuers also disconnected the tanker from power and carried out road washing operations.
