Former Prime Minister to Access Special Airport Lounge
The Armenian National Assembly is discussing a bill to amend the law on "Ensuring Activities, Services, and Social Guarantees of Officials" in its second reading.
The speaker on the issue, Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan, noted that the amendments will establish provisions whereby access to the official delegations' lounges at airports in the Republic of Armenia will be determined by a decision of the Prime Minister for officials, their family members, and official delegations.
He added that the "former Prime Minister" will be able to access the special lounge at the airport. Currently, the existing law allows the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the former President of the Republic, as well as their accompanying family members to use the designated special lounge at airports. In certain cases, other individuals may also access the special lounge based on the procedures established by the Prime Minister's decision.
