VIDEO: Tatarstan Deputy Criticizes Kadyrov's Son, Then Apologizes

The deputy of the State Council of Tatarstan began to speak about how Kadyrov's son had beaten a prisoner. He then changed the subject and offered an apology. Soon after, the recording of the deputy's speech was deleted from social networks, as reported by meduza.io.

"The head of a subject of the Russian Federation awards his son a title of hero for beating a person. Later, expanding on his idea, he claims that he is the hero of all Muslims. Who can answer for that?" he said.

After that, Khamayev changed the subject and began to talk about other issues. None of the deputies commented on his remarks regarding Adam Kadyrov.

That same evening, the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, referred to the deputy's statement as his personal opinion, which "has no relation to the position of the republic's Muslims." Soon after, media outlets spread Khamayev's statement in which he apologized for his "emotional remark," stating, "During my speech at the State Council meeting, I expressed a purely personal opinion, which was not supported by my colleagues. I apologize for my emotional statement that may harm the relations between our fraternal peoples."

On October 20, the recording of Khamayev's speech was removed from the official page of the Tatarstan State Council.

It is worth noting that Chechnya's leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, published a video on his Telegram channel featuring his son Adam and referred to him as a hero of all Muslims.
